Valdosta Pilot Shuttle Extended through December 31st
Staff Report From Valdosta CEO
Tuesday, September 20th, 2016
The Valdosta Pilot Shuttle Program has been extended through December 31, 2016. Funding to support this project is the result of a grant the Georgia Department of Human Services receives from the Georgia Department of Transportation in conjunction with the Federal Transit Association. The grant award for FY2017 has been received from the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Department of Human Services has a set amount of funding that will allow for the extension of the Valdosta Shuttle Project through December 31, 2016. After this date, the grant funding received will be exhausted under the Department of Human Services and the project will be discontinued unless other funding can be identified.
The shuttle is free to clients who fill out the mandatory Consumer Registration Form, which is available on the shuttle, online, or at participating shuttle stop locations.
