July 26 | VPD Retirement, Promotion & Service Award Ceremony
The Valdosta Police Department will be hold a Retirement, Promotion & Service Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, July 26, at 3 p.m., at the City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room. The featured awards will be given to Crime Scene Technician Raymond McGraw who is retiring after 25 years of service and Lieutenant Joann Rofulowitz who is retiring after 24 years of service. The public is invited to attend.

July 26 | SEEDS for Success Workshop
The SEEDS for Success workshop, hosted by the City of Valdosta in partnership with Valdosta Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Tuesday, July 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Mildred Hunter Center. Part of the Valdosta-Lowndes Business University, this workshop is designed specifically for anyone interested in turning their business ideas into a reality. July 28 | Back the Red & Blue Blood Drive
The City of Valdosta has partnered with the American Red Cross for a blood drive that will save lives and honor the Police, Fire and EMS personnel who make a difference in our community daily. The Back the Red & Blue Blood Drive will take place on Thursday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room.
 
July 29 | GPP Continues
The eight VHS students employed by the city as part of the Great Promise Partnership will work full time through Friday, July 29. They will then take a two-week break to acclimate to their new school schedules and then return on August 15 to work Mon-Fri, from 1-5 p.m. during the school year. The city is proud of these hard-working students.
