July 12 | City Cuts Ribbon on State-of-the-Art Wastewater Treatment Plant and Force Main
The City of Valdosta will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 12, at 8 a.m., to celebrate the culmination of two significant sewer infrastructure improvement projects. The ribbon cutting will be held on the 75-acre site of the new Withlacoochee Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 3180 Wetherington Lane. The public is invited to attend. Read more.
July 12 | ZBOA Meets
The Valdosta-Lowndes County Zoning Board of Appeals will hold its monthly meeting, Tuesday, July 12, at 2:30 p.m., in City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room. The ZBOA hears all variance requests and appeals regarding staff interpretations of the City of Valdosta Land Development Regulations. July 12: CVDA Board Meets
The Central Valdosta Development Authority will meet Tuesday, at 5 p.m., in the Valdosta City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room. The CVDA manages the process of enhancing downtown's position as the governmental, cultural, and economic center of the Greater Lowndes County area by involving businesses, property owners, government, churches and the entire community. July 13 | Last Day for People’s Choice Voting
Wednesday, July 13, is the last day to participate in the People’s Choice Voting for the 8th Annual Valdosta People’s Choice Photo Contest at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts. Vote for your favorite photos in five categories, while appreciating the other fine art on display at the center. A Valdosta Fire Department Promotion Ceremony & Recruit Graduation will be held on Friday, July 15, at 12 p.m., at the Valdosta Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority Facility (located at 1901 N.
