June 1 | Official Start of Hurricane Season
Hurricane Season traditionally runs June 1 through Nov. 30 each year. June 1 | City Hosts Budget Hearings
The City of Valdosta will hold the first of two budget hearings for its Fiscal Year 2017 budget on Wednesday, June 1, from 3-8 p.m., with a break from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Citizens are invited to attend the public meeting, which will take place in the Valdosta City Hall second-floor Council Chambers.
June 2 | Budget Hearing
The City of Valdosta will hold the second budget hearing for its Fiscal Year 2017 budget on Thursday, June 2, from 3-6 p.m., in the Valdosta City Hall second-floor Council Chambers. Citizens are invited to attend the public meeting.
June 3 | First Friday in Downtown Valdosta
The popular First Friday event will feature live music, dining specials, shopping and more of the fun that the community expects on the first Friday of every month, beginning at 6 p.m., in beautiful downtown Valdosta. June 4 | Farm Days is This Saturday
The Downtown Valdosta Farm Days continues on Saturday. The popular farmers market takes place on the sidewalks around the historic Lowndes County Courthouse, in downtown Valdosta, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., on the first and third Saturday of every month through Sept. 19.
