The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce recently held a celebratory toast, in order to formally thank the volunteers that helped with the 2016 Membership Event. The event included light hor d’evoures, mingling, and a final “thank you” toast to each team member.
 
The 2016 Membership Event, sponsored by New Hire Solutions, brought in a total of 125 new members to the Chamber. Mike Gudely of Southeastern Credit Union led the “Orange” team to victory with 35 memberships out of the 125. Other team Chairmen included: Jim Zachary (Valdosta Daily Times), Mike Coleman (Fairway Outdoor Advertising), Audrey King (Georgia Power), DeWayne and Amanda Johnson (BridgeBuilder Education and Investments) and Judy Martin Trexler (Judy Martin Trexler/CR for Personal & Family Growth, LLC). Each of these event chairs selected 5-6 more business leaders as their team captains, who then gathered volunteers to participate in the event by making phone calls to their own contacts in effort to recruit new Chamber members.
