Wiregrass’ Valdosta Campus to Offer Summer Camp for Kids

Area students can have fun this summer at the Valdosta Campus of Wiregrass Technical College.  Students can test their C.S.I. skills at the popular C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation Camp, or learn beauty skills and tips at Nail Tech Kids Camp. And, new this year is a Programming camp for our computer loving kids.
 
The popular C.S.I. Kid’s Camp is back this summer and will be held June 8-9 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The C.S.I. Camp is for kids entering second grade up to high school seniors. Cost of the camp is $35 per student or $60 for two participants.  This cost includes materials, lunch, and snack.  Students will learn how to gather evidence for scientific analysis in a crime laboratory.
 
What little girl doesn’t love painting her nails? The Cosmetology Department is hosting the Nail Tech Kids Camp for students in grades six to twelve. Students will learn to perform manicures and pedicures. They will get to create nail art while learning proper sanitation measures. The camp will be held on the Valdosta Campus on June 16 - 18 from 8:00 a.m. until noon.  Registration is $30.
 
New this year from Wiregrass’ Computer Programing Technology program is “Programming Camp.”   Students will learn how to program apps for Android devices.  They will also learn problem solving techniques and programming concepts to develop their mobile apps.  If your child likes puzzles, they’ll enjoy our new programming camp.    The camp dates are July 11- 14 from 10:00 a.m. – noon.  The cost is $50 and open to grades 7th – 12th.
