Valdosta's Wild Adventures to Hire 100 More Employees

Staff Report From Valdosta CEO

Wednesday, April 20th, 2016

Splash Island Water Park needs 50 fun and sun-loving people to be trained and certified as life guards.

“Being a lifeguard is a great way to spend your summer,” Aquatics Operations Manager Lisa Strickland said. “You’ll meet and work with really fun people, you’ll get great experience and you get to spend your summer in the water.”

Wild Adventures Theme Park provides all necessary training and certification for employees who will work to keep guests safe while they are having fun in the water, whether on a thrill slide or floating down the Paradise River.

The park is also looking to hire at least 50 people for food service. “We are looking for friendly and dependable people who realize their role in providing outstanding guest service,” Human Resources Manager Cara Robertson said.

A job fair is scheduled at the park on April 21. Splash Island is currently open on Saturdays and Sundays until May 21 when the waterpark begins daily operation.

Anyone interested should visit WildAdventures.com/jobs and then follow the steps on the website to submit an application online. Those who are at least 16 years old and qualified will be invited to the park on Thursday, April 21 between 2:30 and 7 P.M. for a “Funterview” as part of the hiring process.

A “Funterview” is an innovative way to interview potential employees in a group setting and see just how outgoing and fun they can. More importantly, it is the candidates chance to show their ability to care for the park’s guests.
