Political Forum Set for May 12th

The Berrien County Chamber of Commerce and Berrien County VFW Post 5978 will host a political forum on Thursday, May 12th at 6 pm at the Berrien County VFW Post located at 801 Tifton Road. Scott James, host of the Scott James Show and owner of Talk 92.1 will serve as the forum moderator.
Prior to receiving questions from the moderator each candidate will be given one minute for an introduction. The public is encouraged to prepare questions for the candidates. All public questions must be submitted in writing and will be drawn at random by the forum moderator as time allows. The moderator also reserves the right to ask questions of candidates. Audience members are asked to keep in mind, this event is a forum with the intent to help educate the voting public on community wide issues and not designed to be a debate between candidates or a platform to address personal grievances. Each race will have a box for question submission.

The Board of Education and County Commissioner races will be given 20 minutes per race during the forum and the Sheriff’s race will be given 40 minutes.
