Wiregrass Tech Announces Chief of Police

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College President Tina K. Anderson announces the promotion of Timothy Allmond as the new Chief of Police.  Chief Allmond will have his main office on the Coffee Campus in Douglas, but will also be working at the other campuses of the college. Chief Allmond has been in law enforcement for 15 years having served his entire career with the City of Douglas Police Department. He left the Police Department in August of 2015 and has most recently worked as the Criminal Justice Instructor on the Coffee Campus. Prior to his career in law enforcement, he served in the United States Marine Corps with Second Reconnaissance Battalion, Second Marine Division and is a combat veteran.

Chief Allmond has recently moved to Fitzgerald, Georgia, with his wife Claudia, and now calls Fitzgerald his home. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, with a double major: Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration and Business Administration.
