VSU Campus Wellness to Host Health Mythbusters March 7th

The Valdosta State University Campus Wellness Committee will host Health Mythbusters from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7, in the University Center Magnolia Room. This event is free and open to the public.
Health Mythbusters is an informational mini-series based on the Discovery Channel’s popular television show, “Mythbusters.” The event will consist of an interactive panel discussion that will seek to debunk common health and wellness myths.
Sarah Fretti Thomas, instructor and director of the Exercise Physiology Program in VSU’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences; Rebecca Smith, assistant director of VSU’s Counseling Center; and Traci Gosier, chronic disease prevention and health promotions coordinator for the Georgia Department of Public Health’s South Health District, will share their expert advice on general health and wellness, including information on how to manage stress, the importance of having a balanced nutrition, and the benefits of exercise.
