Berrien County Hosting Exceptional Rodeo on March 24th
Staff Report From Valdosta CEO
Monday, March 21st, 2016
For more than 20 years, Berrien County has hosted the annual Exceptional Rodeo which allows special needs children from Berrien and Cook Counties to be cowboys and cowgirls for the day. This year’s event will feature more than 90 special needs children. Each exceptional rodeo contestant is partnered with a member of the Berrien County FFA for the day. As partners, the kids participate in simulated rodeo events as well as take a ride on a real horse. As a special treat, the students will enjoy a performance by professional rodeo clown John Harrison, a two time Act of the Year winner with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Members of the professional rodeo crew will also be on hand for the Exceptional Rodeo.
Students normally arrive for the event at 9 am and leave at 2 pm. The Exceptional Rodeo will take place at the Berrien County Saddle Club located at 500 County Farm Road in Nashville, Georgia.
The Exceptional rodeo will kick off rodeo weekend in Berrien County. Please see the attached press release which includes details for the Cotton Blossom Roundup for March 25th and 26th.
