Feb. 24 | 2016 Bird Supper in Atlanta
A few hundred will gather for the annual Bird Supper, on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the historic Georgia Railroad Depot in Atlanta, beginning at 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners and the City of Valdosta, the traditional event brings together state officials and local business, professional and government personnel for a dinner of quail and important conversations. Feb. 25 | Valdosta Youth Council Meets
Mayor John Gayle will meet with the 16-member Valdosta Youth Council at their regularly-scheduled meeting, on Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of Valdosta City Hall (located at 216 E. Feb. 25 | Valdosta City Council Meets
The Mayor and City Council will meet this Thursday, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Valdosta City Hall. The meeting is open to the general public. View the meeting agenda.

Feb. 26 | Students Learn in Court
Valwood second graders will attend a Mock Trial at the Valdosta Municipal Court, on Friday, at 10 a.m., where they will learn a valuable lesson on the consequences of making poor choices in everyday life.  For more information on the Mock Trial or other educational activities and tours in the city, call 229-259-3548.
