Jan. 20: Land Bank Meets. The Land Bank Authority will meet Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 9 a.m., in the Valdosta City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room. The purpose of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Land Bank Authority is to foster the public purpose of returning property which is in a non-revenue generating, non-tax producing status to effective utilization status in order to provide housing, new industry and jobs for citizens. Jan. 20: City Hosts Resume Writing Workshop. A Job Connections Resume Writing Workshop, sponsored by the City of Valdosta's Neighborhood Development Division and Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc., will take place in the Valdosta City Hall Annex Multi-Purpose Room, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The new partnership expands community access to job training and connections services through a series of workshops and a new Job Connections Kiosk in the city's Customer Service Center, making the valuable job training more accessible than ever before to citizens who seek them. Jan. 21: Valdosta Youth Council Meets. Mayor John Gayle will meet with the 14-member Valdosta Youth Council at their scheduled meeting, on Jan. 21, at 4 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of Valdosta City Hall (located at 216 E.
