Lowndes GOP to Hold Precinct Mass Meetings

Lowndes County Republican Party is preparing for the 2016 election year.
At 10 a.m., Feb. 20, the Lowndes County Republican Party will convene Precinct Mass Meetings to elect delegates and alternates to the Lowndes County Republican Party Convention. All Lowndes County residents who are legally registered to vote on or before Feb. 1, and who believe in the principles of the Republican Party are urged to participate in the process, according to the GOP.
Registration will open 9 a.m., Feb. 20, Austin's Cattle Co., 2101 W. Hill Ave., for all precincts.
The Lowndes County Republican Party Convention will convene 10 a.m., March 19, at Austin's Cattle Co., for the purpose of electing delegates and alternates to the Congressional District Convention, for the purpose of electing delegates and alternates to the State Convention and for the purpose of conducting all other business as necessary. Delegates and alternates will be required to pay a fee of $25, which is to cover the cost of the County Convention.
The 8th Congressional District Convention will convene 10 a.m., April 16, at Valdosta State University (building and room TBA). The District Convention will convene for the purpose of electing three delegates and three alternates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, and for the purpose of conducting all other business as necessary.
The Georgia Republican Party State Convention will convene 2 p.m., June 3, in Augusta, for the purpose of electing at-large delegates and alternates to the National Republican Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, for the purpose of electing the Georgia Republican Party National Committee Man and National Committee Woman and for the purpose of conducting all other business as necessary. Delegates and alternates will be required to pay a fee, which is to cover the cost of the convention.
