Chamber Cuts a Ribbon at Shiloh Equine Outreach

Motivated to provide for families and youth affected by mental health struggles, Shiloh Equine Outreach has been welcomed to Lowndes County with a Ribbon Cutting. In an innovative way, this nonprofit organization specializes in assisting youth of Lowndes County and the surrounding regions.
 
Shiloh Equine Outreach is an organization that offers equine assisted psychotherapy to at risk youth in grades 1-12. “We love the opportunity to use the healing power of horses to address a wide range of mental health struggles for the youth of our community,” says Executive Director, Dr. Stephanie Gee. Shiloh Equine Outreach comes to Lowndes County with a means of accessing mental health services in conjunction with current providers to assist in prolonging care.
 
Shiloh Equine Outreach is now open to provide solutions with various options of mental and behavioral therapy. Under the direction of an equine specialist and mental health specialist, participants are given the opportunity to discover the best solutions for themselves.
