Hospice of South Georgia and our Langdale Hospice House are pleased to announce that our very own Volunteer and Facility Manager, Bill Meli, has been selected to serve on the Ethics Advisory Council for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Bill will play a vital role in providing leadership, technical service, and educational assistance to NHPCO members, as well as the public. Additionally, the Ethics Advisory Council is involved in publishing technical monographs, recommending, designing, and/or presenting educational workshops at NHPCO conferences, publishing articles in NHPCO and other publications and collecting data for national research projects. The Ethics Advisory Council plays a key role in identifying ethical issues in hospice and palliative care that need to be addressed.
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is a national, nonprofit group who support hospice and palliative care programs and professionals. Their purpose is to improve end of life care, as well as educate and enhance public knowledge for improving quality of life for everyone facing a life-limiting illness and their families.
Hospice of South Georgia would like to congratulate Bill for this honor, and thank him for his care and leadership for our organization.
