Ribbon Cutting at South Georgia Connections
Staff Report From Valdosta CEO
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015
Valdosta has been home to its very own “Welcome Wagon” for over 54 years. The Greeting Service held a ribbon cutting with the Valdosta Chamber to formally announce their new name: South Georgia Connections.
“Our service connects people and communities and is the go to source for community information,” said Patti Minton.
Patti and her staff are committed to showcasing Valdosta’s southern hospitality to the area’s newcomers, whether they are newly stationed Airmen and their families at Moody AFB, or they are new businesses.
“We love giving back to the community,” said Minton.
South Georgia Connections provides more than just a warm welcome and basket of homemade goodies. Each year, they provide a resource guide that delivers information to locals as well as newcomers.
The Chamber serves as a liaison, connecting its new business owners with South Georgia Connections.
If you’re a new business owner in the Valdosta area, South Georgia Connections and the Valdosta Chamber are here to assist you with your advertising needs.
