Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. to launch construction of a new and unique assisted living community, The Orchard at Stone Creek.  Owners Fred and Martha McGill invite the local community to join them as they welcome the Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and area businesses and organizations interested in learning more about the project.

Located on a 72-acre pecan orchard adjacent to the Stone Creek Community, the facility will include six 10,000-square-foot buildings, which will accommodate 16 residents per unit.  A seventh building will be constructed at the center of the site and will include a community center, chapel, kitchen, nail salon, spa and other amenities.
“The Orchard at Stone Creek will be more than just an assisted living community,” said Fred and Martha.  “We want our residents to feel as comfortable as if they were in their own homes, complete with sidewalks, flower gardens and more.”

As a registered nurse with a distinguished career in healthcare, Martha, and Fred, a CPA, both have the same vision in the creation of The Orchard of At Stone Creek, where the health and well-being of their residents will be their primary concern.  “The Orchard at Stone Creek represents our strong commitment to the community and will serve as an exemplary assisted living care community for seniors,” said Martha and Fred.
