VSU Hosts AT&T Virtual Reality Simulator
Staff Report From Valdosta CEO
Friday, October 9th, 2015
Using a virtual reality simulator, Valdosta State University and AT&T joined forces Thursday to show students, faculty, and staff the dangers of using a smartphone to text, post on social media, surf the web, take a selfie, or video chat while driving. The event was sponsored by the Office of the President, the Division of Student Affairs, and Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society. AT&T’s It Can Wait campaign urges drivers to keep their eyes on the road, not on their phone. Research shows that 70 percent of people engage in smartphone activities while driving.
