Hospice of South Georgia Raises $22,000 for Patient Care

Hospice of South Georgia was presented with two checks on Tuesday, September 29th at Langdale Hospice House from their Hospice Advisory Board and The Tree House Resale Shop. Through major fundraising efforts such as concerts, wreath auctions, and theater productions, the Advisory board was able to donate $10,000. The Tree House Resale Shop raised $12,000 from generous community donations, as well as supporters shopping at the store.
The Hospice Advisory Board are a group of volunteers from the community who conduct and coordinate big fundraisers to support Hospice of South Georgia and it’s Langdale Hospice House. Funds raised through multiple events throughout the year go towards patient’s needs in the homecare setting and inpatient care center.
The Tree House Resale Shop opened in 2013 with goals to continue enhance financial support for Hospice patient care. The store is an upscale resale shop with merchandise ranging from gently used clothing, home décor, and furniture to brand new jewelry, scarves, and Bridgewater Candles. The Tree House accepts donations from the community and resells items in excellent condition in the store and through Warehouse sales every month.
