Wiregrass’ Life Savers Recipients

If you have ever worked in the medical field or been an eye witness to one in cardiac arrest, you know that every second counts. Students in the Emergency Medical Services Program at Wiregrass Tech made every second count during their required clinical rotations and saved a life. Nine students were recognized at the summer graduation services as being Wiregrass Prehospital Life Save Award recipients. These students were recognized for the being a member of an Emergency Medical Services Response Team that took part in the saving of a human life in the Pre Hospital setting while performing clinical rotations. These students are EMT Professions; Casey Bohanon, Tiffany Stalvey, Tiffany Martense, Alexandria Davis, Heather Hinton, and Jonathon Fox. Students in the Paramedicine program recognized were; Stefanie Linares, Wade Briggs, and Bobbie Pajerowski.
Two students in the EMT program, Tiffany Stalvey and Alexandria Davis, were on call on their very first day at EMT Clinical and were both part of a pre-hospital life save of a person in cardiac arrest. Stalvey has received two of the life saver awards.
Wiregrass’ Emergency Medical Services programs include Paramedicine Degree, Paramedicine Diploma, and EMS Professions Diploma. Joey Thompson serves as the EMS/Paramedic Program Coordinator and Mark Ponder is the EMS/Paramedic Instructor.
