VLDA Approves Azalea West Emergency Exit

An emergency exit for the Azalea West Business Park was approved Tuesday by the Valdosta-Lowndes Development Authority.
The emergency exit comes in response to the explosion and fire that broke out at Perma-Fix in August 2013. St. Augustine Road and Madison Highway were shut down in the hours after the explosion, making evacuating problematic for some businesses.
