Valdosta Regional Airport Expansion Could Start Soon
Wednesday, September 9th, 2015
Construction to expand Valdosta Regional Airport could get underway in about a month.
The project would nearly triple the size of the airport apron, allowing the airport to accommodate two regional jets and a Boeing 737 all at the same time.
Valdosta city council will vote on Thursday whether to approve two resolutions that will allow the airport authority to enter into a grant agreement with the FAA and GDOT to help pay for the project.
