Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. the National Council of Negro Women, Inc will be hosting its 3rd Annual Bethune Leadership Banquet.  The event will be held at the Mathis City Auditorium and tickets are now $30.  This annual event is a formal affair and consist of the organization recognizing female leaders around the community in high school, college or community (25 years and up).  The purpose of this program is to further honor outstanding women in Valdosta and surrounding local communities who have contributed “untiring” service to this area.  NCNW believes this is a great opportunity for each and every organization in the community, churches and schools to honor its members by singling her out to represent them by nomination for this award.

On the evening of the event, each nominee will be honored based on work conducted to benefit the community and their organization.  Six “outstanding” nominees (two high school, two collegiate level and two community-level) will be selected and recognized as the “Top Leaders” during the recognition program.

Each nominee was asked to submit an essay stating the “impact she feels she has made on the community through her work in the community”, which will be judged.  Top leaders will be selected based on their involvement, leadership and services given/provided.
