Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity - A Brush With Kindness

During the week of Sept. 19-26, Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity will be one of nearly 40 Habitat affiliates across the United States collaborating with Valspar and Wells Fargo to launch A Brush with Kindness Week, a nationwide effort to transform neighborhoods. During the week, volunteers will be in Leila Ellis painting, providing minor exterior home repairs, landscaping and cleaning up yards in partnership with more than 153 low-income, homeowners, many of whom are elderly or have a disability.

Who: Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity volunteers, Valdosta High Key Club, VSU’s Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, VSU’s Future Business Leaders of America, VSU’s Rotaract Club, Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, Valdosta Junior Service League, VSU’s Model Mentors, Air Force Sergeants Assoc., Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, Valdosta’s Fire Department will work on five projects in the Leila Ellis Neighborhood and City of Valdosta’s Designated Revitalization Area.
