July 7: Valdosta City Council Meets for Work Session. The Mayor and City Council will meet for a work session on Tuesday, beginning at 5:30 p.m., which allows council members to spend an adequate amount of time discussing agenda items. The meeting is open to the general public and is held in the second-floor Council Chambers of City Hall, at 216 E. Central Avenue.

July 9: Valdosta City Council Meets. The Mayor and City Council will meet this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. As always, the meeting is open to the general public. Click here to view the agenda.

July 9: Moody Hosts AICUZ Open House. The Moody AFB, Georgia, Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) Study has been updated, and the study information will be shared with the community at an open house on July 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., in the Valdosta City Hall Annex Multiple Purpose Room, located at 300 N Lee Street. The AICUZ Study addresses aircraft operational noise and accident potential zones associated with operations at Moody AFB and adjacent Grand Bay Bombing and Gunnery Range. The study provides data and land use recommendations to ensure the safety, health and welfare of the public and compatibility with the Air Force's flying mission. Representatives from Moody AFB and the study team will be available to answer questions about the AICUZ study update at the open house.
