Guardian Bank Vice President Receives Prestigious Degree

Will Moore, Vice President, Guardian Bank, graduated from The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University on Friday, June 5.
One of 168 graduating bankers, Moore completed the three-year program that prepares students in the various areas of bank management, including economics, operations, emergency preparedness and emerging trends. The rigorous curriculum requires students attend class at the LSU Baton Rouge campus for two weeks each year for three years. On-site learning is supplemented with aggressive and demanding assignments given throughout the year.
“The LSU School of Banking taught me numerous lessons that I am looking forward to using to assist our customers,” said Moore, Vice President, Guardian Bank. “With the financial challenges we’re facing today, this education equips me to help our community in a unique and specific way.”
The school, sponsored by 15 state banking associations and in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education at LSU, has graduated more than 15,000 executives since its inception a half century ago. Faculty consisting of business and professional leaders, financial experts, bankers, and educators instruct students in 180 hours of classroom education and 30 hours of review. Additionally, students must pass written final examinations at the end of each session.

Moore graduated from Lowndes County High School and earned his B.B.A. in Economics from Valdosta State University. He joined the Guardian Bank team in August 2014 is an active member in the Valdosta Rotary Club and the South Georgia Down Syndrome Association.
