The Hospital Authority of Valdosta and Lowndes County, Georgia announced that it plans to discontinue providing duplicate emergency and inpatient services at its Smith Northview satellite hospital campus located at 4280 North Valdosta Road at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015.  Emergency services will continue to be provided at the main hospital campus located at 2501 North Patterson Street without interruption.

The Smith Northview Hospital campus will be renamed SGMC Outpatient Plaza and will provide urgent  care services, ambulatory surgery services, and outpatient services for residents of the community. 

“After a careful and thorough analysis of options for the satellite campus, the management team determined that these changes are necessary to continue to provide the highest quality of patient care and service to residents of the community, while maintaining efficient and cost effective hospital operations”, said Randy Sauls, Chief Executive Officer.
