South Georgia Medical Center welcomes Peter Vandervoort as the administrative director of supply chain services for SGMC, its campuses and affiliates. 

Vandervoort will ensure that goods and services for health system usage will be acquired at the lowest possible cost consistent with the hospital’s standards for quality and value. He is also responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking of supplies and the issuance of supplies, materials and rented equipment. 

A military veteran with over 30 years of supply chain management and other accomplishments, Vandervoort will focus on supply chain business practices and development of expense reduction strategies. He comes to Valdosta from Jackson Hospital & Clinics in Montgomery, Alabama.  He received his Master’s degree in Acquisitions and Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
