South Georgia Medical Center welcomes Trinh Ramirez, RN, as Director of Internal Audit for SGMC its campuses and affiliated entities. Ramirez is responsible for managing and directing the Internal Audit function across the health system as well as the evaluating policies, procedures and systems to appraise and independently report on the system of internal controls. She will oversee planning, execution, and communication of financial/operation audits based on audit universe and identified risks; conduct special investigations in coordination with senior management and external auditors and assist in the evaluation of new processes and systems to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness or enhance risk mitigation activities.

Ramirez has been employed at SGMC for 2 1/2 years, most recently serving as quality data analyst and previously served as an internal auditor.

Professionally, Ramirez received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
