Partnership Cancer Fund Presents "Corks For Hope" on Jan. 22nd

Staff Report From Valdosta CEO

Monday, January 19th, 2015

The Partnership Cancer Fund was created to assist area cancer patients undergoing cancer treatment with certain medically related expenses.  Treatment can be costly, especially if you are no longer able to work or do not have health insurance.  The cost of medication, durable medical equipment, nutritional supplements, and transportation to and from treatment often places an additional financial strain on families. Without the help of the Partnership Cancer Fund, many of these cancer patients face tremendous financial hardship that can adversely affect their care and recovery.

Our Board is made up of volunteer members who arrange various charity events each year to raise money for these local cancer patients.  This year we have added a new event, “Corks For Hope”.  With the involvement of several sponsors and community members, we expect this event to be a great success.

“Corks For Hope” will take place Thursday January 22, 2015 from 6-8pm at Cactus Flower Café 3209 B N Oak Street Ext. Valdosta.  The cost per ticket is $50.00 plus a bottle of Wine.  The evening will include; live entertainment, food, wine, and raffles for items up to $500. Value.  But don’t worry, if you don’t win the reverse draw for your wine grouping, we saved the best for last and you can still take home the elite grouping of wine if you are the highest bidder.  After all, it is a fundraiser and it’s for a great cause, neighbors helping neighbors.  Partnership Cancer Fund invites you to attend and help someone from your community.
