Azalea Health announces the appointment of John King to its board of directors. The company, which acquired simplifyMD in July 2014, provides a cost effective, completely integrated EHR and billing services solution that improves a practice’s workflow, and enables physicians to focus on providing quality healthcare to their community.

John King is president of Standard Register company healthcare business unit where he leads the company’s effort to serve clients across the healthcare delivery network, including acute, ambulatory, long term care and managed care organizations. He is responsible for the strategy, consulting services, product development, marketing, sales and supply management for this market. King has over 20 years of sales and operational experience in the healthcare and related information technology industries.

“I am honored to be appointed to the Azalea Health board. They have a dynamic team, and their cloud-based solution is helping to improve doctors’ and patients’ lives,” said John King, president of Standard Register Healthcare. “As we launch into 2015 we will continue to see a focus on CMS’ Chronic Care Management (CCM), the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, as well as the transition to ICD-10, and meeting Meaningful Use requirements. All of these critical initiatives rely upon providers and patients having access to a robust and easy to use EHR. Azalea Health provides a solution that helps practices and hospitals of all sizes to meet these requirements.”

Rural and small hospitals and clinics do not have the resources or budget for large, complex systems. Azalea Health’s cloud-based healthcare management and medical billing solution provides a complete, integrated system that is easy to implement and use. It is scalable for practices of all sizes, with multiple locations, and specialties. Physicians and their staff don’t have to manage hardware or software, so they can focus on quality of care and their patients’ needs rather than on software, which has a positive impact on community healthcare.

“With his operational and industry leadership expertise, John provides us with thought leadership in health IT. I am confident that he will make significant contributions as we grow and follow our vision of providing simple to use, cost effective solutions,” said Baha Zeidan, CEO and Co-founder Azalea Health. “We look forward to John’s insight, expertise and energy.”
