Economic Development & Taxation

INVEST Georgia

We are committed to supporting funding of this program to increase investment in businesses which require venture capital type investment for continued growth.  

Inland Port in Lowndes County

We support the efforts of the Lowndes County Commission and the Valdosta-Lowndes Development Authority to obtain designation as a Georgia Inland Port and all funding and infrastructure requirements related thereto. 

Transportation         

Reliable source of funding for transportation infrastructure

We support increased transportation funding for all of Georgia to enhance, maintain and support our existing and proposed infrastructure which will benefit quality of life as well as business and economic development.  We will support such funding mechanisms which are equitable to the entire state, place importance on funds raised remaining local and place as much autonomy as possible over spending decisions in the hands of local and regional leadership.
