The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber joined City Market for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new location on the North Oak Street Extension. The boutique started downtown in 2008 and after six years decided to relocate to better serve its customers.

City Market was named Best Ladies Boutique by the Valdosta Daily Times for two consecutive years. According to Co-owner Kim Newman, the business has continued to grow and develop since its opening. “Our business has grown every year even through the toughest recessions our area has lived through,” said Newman. The business attributes its success to its dedication to excellent customer service. “We strive to meet the needs of our customers by providing exceptional service,” said Newman.

The boutique offers quality apparel and gifts in a wide array of products that range from women’s clothing, jewelry and handbags to home décor, local art and pottery. Newman believes in giving back to the community just as the community sustains the business. City Market donates to several local charities in addition to supporting school sports within the community.
