Manufacturing Leadership Academy

Manufacturing Frontline Managers and Supervisors must possess excellent leadership skills to manage employees effectively and maximize their performance on the job. The Wiregrass Manufacturing Leadership Academy is designed to help develop key leadership skills through a seven module training schedule spread over seven months. Module topics include Team Building, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Supervisor Communication Skills, Leadership Skills, Performance Management, Motivating Your Employees, & Conflict Resolution

Tuesdays, 8:00 am – 12 noon
(either one or two Tuesday mornings a month depending on topic)
Location: Coffee Campus – Douglas, GA
Cost for Entire Academy: $595 - one employee, $495/each – two employees, $395/each – three employees or more.

Bridge Crane Operator Safety Training
Available in Cook County this September onsite at a local manufacturer. Training will cover rigging, inspection, operation, and safety. Exact date TBA…training will take 6-8 hours. Please contact Bill Tillman for more information.

OSHA General Industry Safety Training
The OSHA General Industry Safety Training course is intended for area employees who need general safety instruction that will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention at an industrial or distribution center site.

10 Hour OSHA General Industry Safety Training – can be scheduled onsite for a group of employees or at one of our Wiregrass campuses as a cohort class with other employers.
10 Hour Completers receive a 10 Hour OSHA Certification Card.

20 Hour OSHA General Industry Safety Training - can be scheduled onsite for a group of employees or at one of our Wiregrass campuses as a cohort class with other employers.
10 Hour Completers who complete 20 more hours of additional OSHA training receive a 30 Hour OSHA Certification Card.

30 Hour OSHA General Industry Safety Training – can be scheduled onsite for a group of employees or at one of our Wiregrass campuses as a cohort class with other employers.

Customer Service Skills Training
This 4-hour is for employees who are in need of general customer service skills that emphasize positive work ethic, teamwork, managing the difficult customer, and serving the multicultural and/or multigenerational customer.

Escort Driver Certification Class
Escort/Pilot Drivers must be certified to operate in Georgia. Our one day course is designed to teach Escort/Pilot Drivers all the state approved safety policies and best practices needed to be certified.

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Cook County Workforce Development Center-Sparks, GA

Forklift Operator Safety
This course is designed for forklift operators to learn the required OSHA safety standards and procedures for forklift operation. Completers receive a three-year OSHA Certification Card.
8 Hour Course

Cost: $75/driver

Basic CPR/First Aid/AED 
American Heart Heartsaver certification course is designed for the workplace. Participants will learn basic First Aid, CPR, and AED techniques and receive a two-year Heartsaver Certification Card.
5 Hour Course
