The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber hosts the Management Essentials Workshop on Tuesday, November 19 from 8-11 A.M. The workshop will provide the necessary tools and skills to help participants become effective and influential as business leaders. 

Three of the area's top communication experts will lead the group using presentations, experiential exercises, and group discussion. Carla Carter-Jordan of Valdosta State University will discuss the importance of effective communication and how to be a more influential communicator. Ryan William of Nexxtep will demonstrate the relevance of technology in modern communication. Curt Fowler of Fowler & Company will coach participants to communicate better as leaders.

"The Management Essentials workshop is a wonderful opportunity for business managers, supervisors, and team-leaders to gather with like-minded individuals to learn about how to most effectively reach their employees. The workshop will discuss communication with workers of all ages and communications styles," said Varian Brown, Director of Economic Development. "It's an opportunity for leaders to grow in influence, and in turn, see growth among their employees."
