Former WGTC President Ray Perren Named One of Atlanta's Top Leaders in Education

The Atlanta Business Chronicle names Lanier Technical College President, Dr. Ray Perren, as one of Atlanta's Top Leaders in Education.
Each year the Atlanta Business Chronicle researches the key leaders of metro Atlanta and Georgia educational institutions and programs for nomination to their prestigious list. For 2013 the ABC names Dr. Ray Perren to the Atlanta's Top Leaders in Education list.
Dr. Perren became President of Lanier Technical College on May 1. Previously, he served as president of Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta.Dr. Perren has a long and successful career in Georgia's education, having served 20 years in K-12 education and 13 years in post-secondary education.
President Perren remarked, "I am honored to be included in this list of prominent educators. I believe in the power of technical education. I believe in the mission of Lanier Technical College and the Technical College System of Georgia: workforce development through business driven credit programs, economic development through contract training, and adult education."
