October 1st
Burger King (2007 W. Hill Ave) Score: 84 B
Violations: Salad spinner noted with lettuce from previous use. Tomato slicer with food debris but in WIC. Blender for smoothie not w/r/s thoroughly with red liquid still inside. Two blenders put up after being cleaned with standing water in the bottom. Cooked onion rings and nuggets noted being held below 135 degrees. Wiping cloth buckets throughout noted being soiled and sanitizer levels too low.
McDonald's (1840 W Hill Ave) Score: 93 A
Violations: No sanitizer set up during employee washing dishes at 3CS. Burrito mix noted to be in WIC with plastic cover at 53 degrees.
October 2nd
Ole Times Country Buffet (1193 St. Augustine Rd) Score: 91 A
Violations: Observed potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Veggie sticks on HH buffet line being held at 117 degrees. PHF items not being cooled properly in allowed timeframe according to temps taken and using the cooling curve.
October 3rd
Chick-fil-A (1700 Norman Dr A) Score: 92 A
Violations: Two plastic pans with grilled chicken strips in RIC with no labels. Shredded cheese in pan with 9/20/12 date on sticker. Sanitizer at 3CS noted to be too high. Please make sure all staff know to test sanitizer after being made and to keep between 50-100 ppm if using chlorine.
October 5th
Fuji Gourmet (1700 Norman Dr B) Score: 84 B
Violations: Employee bathroom sink faucet broken, soap container in one HW sink, steel scrubbie in another handwash sink. Pasta noodles and egg rolls cooked yesterday did not cool properly. Working containers of food removed from original container not identified by common name.
