Denny's Restaurant (1328 St. Augustine Rd) Score: 48 U

Violations: Observed 4 or more critical violations that were out of control. Observed employee not washing hands when going from raw food to clean utensils. Observed employeee not wash hands before putting on clean gloves. Observed employee handle shredded cheese with bare hands when gloves, paper or utensil should be used. No employee health policy on hand. Observed unapproved drink containers in food prep/storage area. Observed drain fly in egg wash. Observed chocolate chips, salsa chips, grapes, sliced bannana, food in refrigerated drawers and biscuits not covered. Observed sanitizer low in sanitizing buckets, waffle iron soiled, fan guards in RIR/WIR/CHU need cleaning, choppers/dicers soiled, soda spouts soiled, ice bins soiled, ice maker soiled, soiled glasses and mixer. Observed bagged meat with no date mark. Observed chili, BBQ sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and chopped potatoes with no labelling. Observed plates not inverted, cutting boards need resurfacing/replacing, scoops need handles and handles need to be stored out of product, cleaned plates stored in soiled containers, toothpicks need to be protected from contamination. Observed refrigerator/CHU door seals that need cleaning, between under and around all equipment needs to be cleaned. Facility needs a good general cleaning. Observed garbage being stored at the back door.
