Employer Seminar on OSHA Regulations Set for Oct. 19 in Valdosta

The South Georgia Employer Committee and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar on federal regulations in the workplace Friday, Oct. 19, in Valdosta.       
 
The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Georgia Department of Labor’s Valdosta Career Center, located at 221 South Ashley St.
 
Phillip R. Moncrief of Savannah, a compliant assistance specialist with the U.S. Department of Labor, will lead the seminar. It will focus on regulations in the workplace under the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) law. Also, what employers must do to be compliant with the OSHA law will be explained. 
 
The seminar is designed for business owners, human resource managers, supervisors, and entrepreneurs.
 
The cost of the seminar, including a continental breakfast, is $15 per person for those who pre-register by Monday, Oct. 15, and $20 after that date.
