TSPLOST Defeated in Lowndes, South Georgia Region, & Most of State

According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s website Tuesday night, Bacon, Coffee, and Irwin Counties were the only counties in the Southern Georgia District to pass T-SPLOST. The referendum was defeated in Lowndes County by 8936 to 4659.
Overall, with 118 of 129 Precincts Reporting in - the vote was defeated 57.3% to 42.7%, with 35,677 voting against and 26,620 for the tax.
TSPLOST failed to pass across most of Georgia, including the Atlanta area. It only passed in the coastal areas surrounding Savannah.
