With 33 participants representing 21 counties across South Georgia, Locate South GeorgiaLEADS is an eight-month leadership experience that will develop individual leadership skills while engaging participants in discussions of regional importance around economic development, identify and influence, workforce development, and community growth that are both unique and relevant to South Georgia.

    Arthur L. Slotkin, the Georgia District Director of the SCORE Association announced the establishment of a new branch of the SCORE Association in Valdosta, Georgia today. SCORE, a resource partner of the US Small Business Administration, is a not-for-profit organization composed of volunteers who provide free mentoring and free or low cost training to entrepreneurs who wish to start a new small business or grow a business.

    Azalea Health announced Friday that it has closed its $10.5 million Series B round of funding. The round was led by Kayne Partners, the growth private equity group of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., an alternative investment firm managing over $22.5 billion in assets. Existing Azalea investor Intersouth Partners, a venture capital firm in Durham, NC, also participated in the round.
