Claire Walton named Interim Executive Director for Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County

The Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County (CAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Claire Walton as Interim Executive Director. Mrs. Walton will serve in this leadership role while the Board of Directors conducts a comprehensive search for a permanent Executive Director.

Mrs. Walton brings valuable experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Children's Advocacy Center. In her interim capacity, she will oversee daily operations, support staff and community partners, and ensure the continued delivery of critical services to children and families in Lowndes County and the surrounding communities.

The Board of Directors is confident that Mrs. Walton's leadership will provide stability and continuity during this transition period. Her knowledge of non-profits and passion for protecting and advocating for children make her well-suited to guide the Center forward.

Claire Walton is the owner/operator of CSW Advisory Services, specializing in providing strategic guidance to non-profit organizations. As the Founding Director of Girls on the Run South Georgia, Claire launched and expanded the program significantly, overseeing its growth from 27 to over 300 girls across five counties within five years. In 2021, she established CSW Advisory Services. Under her leadership, more than $1M in foundation and grant funding has been secured for initiatives in South Georgia. She serves as the Volunteer Advisor for the Valdosta Lowndes County YMCA Teen Leaders Club and YMCA Blue Ridge Leader School Volunteer Staff. Her leadership roles include being a member of the 2024 South Georgia Women’s Leadership Initiative, 2023 Class of Leadership Georgia and the 2017 Class of Leadership Lowndes, as well as VP-Communications for Leadership Lowndes from 2020-23.
