WIN Regional College and Career Academy Launches Search for CEO
Tuesday, January 6th, 2026
The WIN (Workforce Innovation Network) Regional College and Career Academy (CCA) Board of Directors is moving forward with a search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of WIN CCA, overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality educational programs and services.
WIN CCA will serve students from Valdosta City Schools and the Berrien, Clinch, Cook, Echols, and Lanier school systems. The academy is designed to transform opportunities for high school students across South Georgia by equipping them with technical skills, hands-on training, and clear career pathways for success in the classroom, workplace, and beyond.
“As the academy continues to grow, strong leadership is essential,” said Tullis Beasley WIN CCA Board Chair. “We are seeking a CEO who is deeply committed to education and workforce development and who understands the value of collaboration with industry and community partners in creating real opportunities for our students and our region.”
This collaborative initiative—driven by the shared vision of One Valdosta-Lowndes, education partners, community leaders, and industry stakeholders—underscores a strong commitment to building a brighter future for the region’s students. By expanding access to real-world learning and career-aligned education, the WIN Regional CCA will prepare the next generation to thrive in today’s evolving economy.
“Hiring a CEO is an exciting milestone in One Valdosta Lowndes’ Synergy 2030 plan and a critical step as we prepare to welcome students in fall 2026,” said Mary Beth Brownlee, Director of One Valdosta Lowndes and Chair of the WIN Regional CCA Steering Committee. “This role will unite education, industry, and community partners to ensure the academy’s long-term success and workforce impact across Lowndes County and the South Georgia–North Florida region.”
This position will focus on building strong internal partnerships with participating school systems, administrators, faculty, staff, students, and families, while also advancing external collaborations with industry partners, employers, economic developers, government entities, and community stakeholders. Additionally, the CEO will work to secure public and private resources to support and enhance WIN CCA’s mission, in alignment with the Board of Directors' direction.
“The vision is clear: this leader will set the stage for students to gain high-demand training, credentials, and experience faster than their peers taking the CTAE route, and that’s an important addition to the workforce development options in our region,” said Elton Dixon, WIN CCA Board Vice Chair.
Qualified candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related field or education, with a master’s degree preferred, and possess a minimum of seven years of leadership experience in business, management, or secondary/higher education.
Preferred qualifications include extensive corporate leadership experience, secondary-level instructional experience, educational leadership certification or equivalent private-sector training, and the ability to obtain Georgia Certified Economic Developer status.
