After an extensive search process led by members of our Board of Directors, Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity is proud to introduce you to our new Executive Director, Justin Geers. Justin hails from Sparta, Michigan. He entered the Air Force in November of 2000 and is currently in the process of retiring after 24.5 years of honorable service. Justin's been stationed at Moody Air Force Base three times (2004-2009, 2014-2017 and 2022-2025) and will retire as the 23rd Wing Command Chief on 30 April 2025. As the Command Chief of the 23rd Wing at Moody Air Force Base, he acted as a liaison between the wing commander and those who execute the Attack - Rescue - Prevail mission, primarily focusing on the enlisted force and families. He advised the commander on all matters regarding the readiness, training, professional development and the effective utilization of the 5,500 total force Airmen.

Justin met his wife right here in Valdosta in 2005 (from Moultrie) and their son was born in 2007 at SGMC. He graduated from Michigan State University, Eli Broad College of Business with his master's in Management, Strategy and Leadership. Respect, compassion and humility are ingrained in Justin who is community and people focused, making him the perfect choice for the leader of our organization. The sudden loss of our prior Executive Director, Michael Bourgoin, left a profound deficit in our Habitat family and local community. Justin is proud to continue to build onto the legacy that Mike began and grow our community and Habitat with the same enthusiasm.
