The Valdosta-Lowndes Development Authority and Nature Nate’s announce the expansion of Nature Nate’s honey processing operations to Valdosta, GA. The project represents a $1.75 million investment, will create 10 jobs immediately and at least 15 jobs after 36 months.
“We welcome Nature Nate’s as our first tenant within Miller Business Park and congratulate them on the expansion of their operations,” said Tom Call, chairman of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority. “Having them located conveniently in this park will be an advantage and attraction to other industry prospects looking to locate in this park and our other parks nearby.”
A ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the 30,000 square-foot facility took place on December 15th at 10:00 am with notable attendees that included: Mayor John Gayle, City of Valdosta, Tom Call, Chairman, Valdosta/Lowndes Dev. Auth. and Nathan Sheets, president and CEO of Nature Nate’s. Expansion into Valdosta comes in response to the rapid growth of Nature Nate’s processing and packaging business, which provides retail customers with 100% pure, raw and unfiltered honey. Nature Nate’s will be purchasing honey from local beekeepers, making a positive impact that will resonate throughout the Southeast.
“Valdosta was the natural choice for Nature Nate’s new operations facility” said Mr. Sheets. “Located on interstate corridors with access to ports, Valdosta provides a strategic location while offering great local resources and a robust beekeeping community. We’ve been blessed with our current team of employees and look forward to working with our new friends and team mates in Valdosta.”
