Staff Report From Valdosta CEO

Wednesday, August 5th, 2015

By 2025, millennials will make up the majority of the workforce. They offer skills and work styles that are different than those of their predecessors, and for those looking for the best way to drive engagement with this emerging workforce, Dale Carnegie Training is here to help.

Together with the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, Dale Carnegie Training will host “Engaging and Retaining Millennials” at the Chamber building on Tuesday, August 11th. The event will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and includes lunch.

“Igniting and engaging millennials is a hot topic in today’s workplace,” said Bob Ganzak of Dale Carnegie Training. “From understanding their values and work habits, to learning how to create an environment that is conducive to attracting and retaining this crucial population, we’ll cover it at the workshop.”

Dale Carnegie Training, in partnership with MSW/ASR Research, recently conducted a study among the millennial population to gather insights for the workshop. The results of that study are driving the content.

“This is a workshop based on real insights gathered from the millennial population,” Ganzak continued. “If you are looking to create a working environment that is more productive, loyal and engaged, you really don’t want to miss this.”

Cost to attend the workshop is $20 and includes lunch. For more details and to register, visit the Chamber’s website. The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce is located at 416 N. Ashley Street in Valdosta.
