Tuesday, September 10th, 2013
State Senator Tim Golden will discuss the recent Invest Georgia legislation and other upcoming legislation that will impact business owners in South Georgia at Nexxtep's fourth annual Partner Conference on Thursday, September 12th at the Rainwater Conference Center. Nexxtep holds the conference each year for its clients and regional business leaders.
"Our goal for the event is to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools they can use and immediately put to work in their organizations," said Anne Shenton, marketing director for Nexxtep.
The luncheon keynote featuring Golden opens the conference on "Driving Strategic Growth." Golden is serving his seventh term in the State Senate representing the 8th District, which includes Brooks, Clinch, Cook, Echols, Lanier and Lowndes counties along with portions of Thomas County. He serves as Chairman of the Senate Insurance and Labor Committee, Vice-Chair of the influential Senate Finance Committee, which is charged with writing the state’s tax laws and Secretary of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for the annual state budget. Golden also serves on the Higher Education Committee and the OneGeorgia Overview Committee.
"Following the luncheon, attendees can attend their choice of two of three workshops: Secrets to Successful Online Marketing, Numbers You Need to Know to Grow Your Business, and Business Process Bootcamp," Shenton said.
"We will close the day with a guided Executive Roundtable Discussion that will focus on technological developments, predictions for 2014, business management, strategy and more."
