Free Admission for Military during Memorial Day Weekend

Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Ga. is celebrating those who have served the Armed Forces during Memorial Day Weekend by offering free admission for active and retired military.

“At Wild Adventures, we are incredibly grateful for the service and sacrifice of our armed service men and women and their families,” said Elke Schultz, marketing manager. “We celebrate those who have served frequently throughout the year, and this Memorial Day Weekend is another chance for us to express our gratitude.”

Throughout Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, Wild Adventures will offer free admission for active and retired military with a valid military ID or DD-214 form. Guests who accompany military personnel will receive $10 off the purchase of a single-day ticket.

“We are also looking forward to helping families cool off all summer with the towering drops and relaxing waters of Splash Island Waterpark,” said Schultz.

Starting Saturday, May 26, Wild Adventures and Splash Island Waterpark will be open daily through July 30. Admission to Splash Island Waterpark is included with admission to Wild Adventures or a Season Pass.

Parents of 3 to 5-year-olds can receive a complimentary Pre-K Season Pass for their children, but the last day to Activate a Pre-K Season Pass is May 29. Parents interested in a free pass for their child must first register online at WildAdventures.com/Pre-K then bring the child and a copy of his or her birth certificate to the park to activate.

Memorial Day Weekend also marks guests’ last chance to see the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show. Guests can see performers log rolling, underhand chopping, springboard shopping, crosscut sawing, ax throwing, a dragster chainsaw competition and more at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Lakeside Showplace through Memorial Day.
