Wiregrass Announces New Board Members

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College President DeAnnia Clements announced the appointment of six new board officers to the College Board of Directors.  The new board members are Rodney Green,  Lowndes County Schools Assistant Superintendent (Lowndes County); Phaydra Crews, U.S. Department of Air Force Moody Air Force Base Community Support Coordinator and Master Resilience Trainer (Lowndes County); Dr. Joi Williams, Cook High School Interim Principal (Cook County); Lisa Sumner, Senior Branch Manager at Hire Dynamics (Berrien County); Matt Seale Owner and CEO Fourth and Cherry Co. (Irwin County); and Amanda Ramshead, Tift Regional Health System-Southwell Medical Behavior Health Science Line Director (Cook County).  Police Chief Timothy Allmond conducted the swearing in ceremony at both board meetings. 
 
The new board members will be joining current board members Joe Brownlee, Georgia Power Regional Director-SW Region (Lowndes County); Sue Lane Hughes (Chair), VP of Nursing Services at Coffee Regional Medical Center (Coffee County); Bradfield Shealy, Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney (Brooks County), Ronald Dean, SGMC CEO, (Lanier County); Dr. Mark Sutton, retired (Ben Hill and Wilcox Counties); and Alfalene Walker, retired, (Coffee County).
 
“I am excited to have these new board members join the Board of Directors for Wiregrass,” shared Clements.  “We are looking forward to their contributions to our college, students, and staff.”  The board meetings are every third Thursday of the month at noon.  The board of directors serves both in a community advisory capacity and in a limited administrative capacity, performing oversight responsibilities as designated by state board policy.
